I’ve just finished listening to the audio book “I Am Legend”, an unabridged version of the book by Richard Matheson read by Robertson Dean. This was an awesome book… I haven’t seen the 2007 movie yet, though, I’ve heard that it doesn’t even compare to the original story by Matheson. The entire story kept me on the edge of my seat. I finished the book in only 2 days of listening.

Robert Neville is the last man on earth, or so it seems, and as the story progresses you get to know and understand his psyche as he struggles to understand the physiology of the vampire’s he hunts. Matheson paints an environment that seems so real, yet feels like a nightmare at the same time. You feel as though you are following Robert Neville through the desolate streets and empty houses, you feel as though you are watching him stab a wooden stake through the heart of a vampire as it screams in agony. You are a part of the story and will leave you speechless…

Great book, highly recommend it.
