I just came across a post at Lifehacker detailing a handy little tool called “PDFescape“. You’ll appreciate this tool, especially if you’ve ever been asked to print and fill out a PDF document, or if your a website manger and need to distribute PDF documents for clients. PDFescape allows users to type into the PDF document and then print a copy. PDFescape offers a surprisingly good number of tools as well.
A short blurb from the product website:
PDFescape is based on the functionality original found in CTdeveloping’s PDFtypewriter. PDFescape allows you to:
- Open PDF files from your local computer and the web
- Fill out PDF files with Form Fields
- Add Text and Shapes to PDF files without form fields
- Add Links and New Form Fields to PDF files
- Save PDF files to your local computer
- Have PDF files emailed to you or any other email address
With all these tools, you’ll never need Adobe® Reader, or any other PDF reader again!
