The Everex CloudBook is a subnotebook that weighs only 2 pounds and can hold a charge for up to 5 hours. The notebook features the gOS Rocket operating system and comes packed full of “cloud computing applications” (gMail, Meebo, Skype, Wikipedia, Blogger, YouTube, Xing Movie Player, RythemBox, Faqly, Facebook, etc…).
Starting on the 21st of this month you’ll be able to purchase one for $399. According to the Everex website walmart.com will carry the product among other vendors.
Laptop Magazine received a press sample of the CloudBook, they created a video that gives a quick tour. There seems to be a couple of annoying interface designing issues such as the pointing device and the screen resolution, though I would image that the resolution issue will be corrected before the product is officially shipped.
