HD DVD Logo Finally after months on a downward spiral HD DVD is officially dead as Toshiba pulls the plug. I’m not surprised, and I’m sure nobody else is either, especially since there’s no content on HD DVD. Every major film company has made the switch to Blu-ray.

There was still a pretty heated battle between Blu-ray and HD DVD up until the end of May in ‘07 when Warner Bros. announced they were switching formats and going with Blu-ray, and then everything fell in place for the Blu-ray format.

RIP HD DVD
