Reading techcrunch the other day I noticed a post for a new service called “Rollbase” which is essentially a development platform that allows just about anybody to create sophisticated rich Internet applications. If you’ve developed any web applications in the past you’ll have a ton of appreciation for a service like Rollbase. I haven’t signed up for an account yet, but I plan to try it out as soon as possible.

An excerpt from the Rollbase website:

“Rollbase is a new Internet platform for business users, IT professionals, and web developers to rapidly create on-demand applications using point & click, drag & drop tools in a standard web browser.”

As I said, I’m not certain about pricing or deployment options, right now the service is in public beta. It certainly is worth a closer look.
