Anyone who has programmed in any language should be familiar with “Hello World!”.  Almost any book, tutorial, or any learning resource uses the Hello World! exercise to introduce new programmers to the syntax of a language.

I came across this web page this morning called “The Hello World Collection” which contains 366 Hello World programs in many more-or-less well known programming languages, plus 58 human languages.  This is pretty interesting if you are a programmer.  I immediately looked for PHP, Ruby, C, and Java as these are all languages I have partially learned through the years.
