Equinix Data Warehouse Is Awesome

June 21st, 2008 · No Comments

I just came across this video tour in which CNET News.com’s Neha Tiwari reports on the massive data warehouse of Equinix.  Equinix serves companies like AT&T, MCI, Verizon, Microsoft, Yahoo, and Google.  It blows my mind that there are over 200 networks in one of these data warehouses.
Equinix is sophisticated in what it offers, so [...]

Steve Jobs In 60 Seconds

June 10th, 2008 · No Comments

This is great, being able to watch the WWDC Steve Jobs keynote in 60 seconds versus 1 hour and 47 minutes.  Don’t get me wrong, I think Steve is a very influential speaker, but there’s just something about getting it all in such a short span of time that appeals to me.

June 2nd, 2008 · 2 Comments

I’m impressed by this little device called the Yubikey which is the creation of a company called Yubico.  The Yubikey is a tiny form factor USB authentication device which produces a one time password for authentication purposes.  Essentially the Yubikey acts like a keyboard and auto enters passwords which are 32 characters in length (8 [...]

May 21st, 2008 · No Comments

I find it hard to believe that the main character’s voice in Grand Theft Auto IV Niko Bellic that of voice actor Michael Hollick only netted £100,000 or the equivalent of just over $150,000.  For a game that grosses as much money as Grand Theft Auto IV the voice actor only gets this much money… [...]

Sprint Instinct

April 5th, 2008 · 1 Comment

The Sprint Instinct was talked about a lot during CTIA this year. This is supposedly the closest thing to an “iphone killer” of any of the products according to many of the CTIA attendees. The Instinct is a nice device, it has a full touch screen with built in haptic response. I [...]
